Short Biography
Nedy John Cross is an international journalist, filmmaker, film producer, creative director, composer, musician and entrepreneur. Born in Bulgaria and raised in the GDR, he lives and works between Germany and Bulgaria.
As founder of FILMPARTNER24 he develops and produces feature and documentary films, campaigns, journalistic formats and digital media projects – from the first idea through concept, production and creative direction to release and international distribution.
He is founder and festival director of the PLANET EARTH FILMFESTIVAL, founder of the PLANET EARTH FOUNDATION, founder & chairman of the E²EARTH Foundation, CEO of GREEN SOLUTION DEUTSCHLAND GmbH and initiator of the Sofia Energy Forum. He is one of the pioneers of wind energy in Bulgaria: he was among the first to plan and build a wind farm in the country – in 2007, near Kavarna on the Black Sea coast.
As a composer he has worked with Constantin Entertainment since 2019 in a long-term collaboration; as a rock musician he is active with BIG FAT LILY and DEMUT. His film and music work has received international awards and nominations – including in Los Angeles, New York and Moscow.
A particular strength is the combination of film, music and sound design: as filmmaker and composer he develops image and sound as one dramaturgical language.
