ABOUT

Nedy John Cross connects feature film, documentary, journalism, digital media, music, cultural projects and international business development. He develops projects from the first idea through concept, production and creative direction to release and international distribution – combining artistic work with journalistic experience, strategic communication and entrepreneurial thinking.

Film

As director, producer, writer, creative director and composer he works on fiction and documentary projects. His documentaries “The Silent Angel” and “Kunst – Kultur – Covid19” were written, directed, produced and scored by him; “WIND – More than Energy” (ВЯТЪР – ПОВЕЧЕ ОТ ЕНЕРГИЯ), a documentary on wind energy, nature and the transformation of energy supply in Bulgaria, was completed together with an extensive media campaign. He is also developing a historical feature film about Batak and the events of 1876.

Journalism & Media

His journalistic work focuses on audiovisual journalism – politics, society, culture, business, energy and international developments – in interviews, reportage, video journalism and documentary formats. He has long-standing experience in professional video and social media production in the political environment in Berlin, and created the interview podcast NOT A FAKE, which he hosts and produces. As founder and creative director of FILMPARTNER24 – a creative agency and film production company with its own studio in Berlin – he leads campaigns, brand and image films, corporate content and social media productions.

Music

Since 2019 he has worked with Constantin Entertainment as a composer in a long-term collaboration, producing music for film, TV and media productions – including 94 pieces for the BILD TV documentary series “Unsere Retter – Ärzte im Einsatz”. His work spans film and TV music, production and trailer music, orchestral, electronic and hybrid scores, rock and sound design. As singer and musician he leads the rock projects BIG FAT LILY and DEMUT. In 2026 he composed music for “The Bulgarian Dress” at the Ancient Theatre of Plovdiv.

Music & Moving Image

As filmmaker and composer he treats image, editing, rhythm, music and sound design not as separate elements but as one dramaturgical language – developing audiovisual sequences from a shared rhythm.

Culture

He founded the PLANET EARTH FILMFESTIVAL – “Created by Artists for Artists” – whose first edition took place in Bayreuth from 20 to 23 July 2026, and the PLANET EARTH FOUNDATION, which develops cultural work around film, music, education and international cooperation.

Energy

He is one of the pioneers of wind energy in Bulgaria: he was among the first to plan and build a wind farm in the country – in 2007, near Kavarna on the Black Sea coast. As CEO of GREEN SOLUTION DEUTSCHLAND GmbH since 2022 he works on wind energy and infrastructure projects in Bulgaria, including the Murgana I wind farm. He is founder & chairman of the E²EARTH Foundation, which develops media and education projects on ecological, scientific and social questions of the future, and initiated the Sofia Energy Forum, an international platform for energy, technology and investment.

International

He works between Germany, Bulgaria and the USA – with Berlin, Bayreuth, Sofia, Plovdiv and Los Angeles as central reference points. Projects are developed from the outset for different markets, languages and cultural contexts. His work as a filmmaker and film composer has received awards in Los Angeles, New York and Moscow.
